The M-Series from ESP was first introduced in the 1980s, with a focus on being a shred/metal-oriented guitar — fast-playing, thin neck, easy soloing, and a modern “super strat” design. The code “1000” denotes a high-end model in the LTD lineup, while “HT” (Hardtail) refers to the use of a fixed bridge instead of a Floyd Rose tremolo, offering better tuning stability and longer sustain.
It was designed for guitarists who demand speed, durability, and high tonal accuracy, with continuous upgrades over time — including pickups, fingerboards, and body materials.
