Origin / Background of EVE Audio SC205
The EVE Audio SC205 is part of the company’s SC Series, designed as a compact 2-way active nearfield studio monitor aimed at small studios or rooms where space is limited but high-quality sound is required.
It features a 5″ SilverCone woofer paired with an AMT RS1 tweeter, delivering a frequency response from approximately 53 Hz to 21 kHz (–3 dB). Despite its compact size, the SC205 offers surprisingly deep and accurate bass reproduction for nearfield monitoring.
The system is bi-amplified, providing 50 W for the woofer and 50 W for the tweeter, for a total of 100 W per speaker. Like other EVE Audio monitors, it integrates a DSP-based filter section and the company’s signature SMART-knob, allowing precise adjustments of volume and EQ to adapt to various acoustic environments.
