Austrian Audio was founded in 2017 in Vienna by a team of former AKG engineers after AKG closed its Austrian offices. Their mission was to continue designing and manufacturing professional-grade microphones and headphones while maintaining Austrian production standards.
The OC7 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone specifically designed for instruments with fast transient responses, such as snare drums, toms, pianos, acoustic guitars, and stringed instruments.
OC7 uses the OCC7 capsule, a hand-built development in Vienna that builds upon the legacy of AKG’s CK1 capsule, delivering natural, transparent, and professional-quality sound.
