AKG HSC271

The AKG HSC271 is a professional headset based on the K271 MKII design, similar to the HSD271 we discussed earlier. However, the most significant difference is the type of microphone it comes with.

Key difference: Condenser microphone.

The key difference between HSC271 and HSD271 (which is dynamic) is:

• Microphone Type: This model uses a condenser microphone (requires 9-52V phantom power).

• Sound Quality: Provides a clear, crisp sound and better captures high-frequency details than dynamic drivers. Ideal for applications requiring the highest level of “natural” speech quality.

• Polar Pattern: Cardioid , which focuses sound reception from the front , effectively reducing ambient noise.

Key Features

• Auto-Mute Function: The headphone audio will automatically mute when removed (helps prevent feedback or howling in the studio).

• Mic Auto-Mute: The microphone will be muted automatically when the microphone stem is raised upwards.

• Flexible Boom Arm: The microphone boom arm is freely adjustable and can be mounted on either the left or right side.

• Detachable Cable: The signal cable is detachable (uses a 6-pin mini XLR connector).
