The Plonk is an incredibly unique percussion synthesizer module utilizing Physical Modeling technology, developed in collaboration with Applied Acoustics Systems (AAS). Instead of using standard oscillator waveforms, Plonk models the physical characteristics of “materials” (wood, metal, skin) and “exciters” (mallets, picks, fingers). This allows you to synthesize startlingly realistic marimbas, bells, toms, or completely alien acoustic instruments that don’t exist in the real world.
