The Neumann KK 185 is a hypercardioid capsule head that offers the best side-rejection in the series. Its tight pickup pattern makes it ideal for applications that require focusing on a direct sound source while minimizing ambient noise, such as recording speech in noisy environments, spot-miking a hi-hat while reducing bleed from other drums, or recording in untreated rooms.
