At its core, the AC Booster is a “booster with gain,” making it incredibly versatile and compatible with virtually any setup.

Functions / Controls

The AC Booster features four intuitive yet powerful controls:

1. Gain: This knob controls the amount of overdrive.
   • At lower settings (counter-clockwise): It acts as a clean boost, adding volume and presence without much dirt.
   • As you turn it up (clockwise): It introduces a smooth, musical grit and saturation. The overdrive remains dynamic and articulate even at higher gain settings, avoiding a compressed or “fizzy” sound.
2. Volume: This controls the overall output level of the pedal. It can be used to significantly boost your signal for solos or set to “unity gain” to match the volume of your clean tone.
3. Treble: This is an active EQ control for the high frequencies. Being “active” means it can both boost or cut treble, offering a much wider range of tonal shaping than a standard passive tone knob.

4. Bass: Like the Treble control, this is an active EQ for the low frequencies. It allows you to boost or cut the bass, giving you precise control over the thickness and body of your guitar tone.
