In SILENT Mode, when the keys are struck, the hammers are stopped immediately before hitting the strings, preventing any loud sound from the piano. Under the keys, multiple sensors translate the keystroke signals and send the information to the digital tone generation system, producing sampled sounds that you hear through headphones.
