History
The ESP F-STD S is an electric guitar from the ESP Standard Series (before ESP rebranded this line as ESP E-II around 2014).
It belongs to the “F Series”, known for its unique Extreme Shape body design that gives a distinctly metal look, standing out from the typical Super Strat or Les Paul shapes.
It was made in Japan by ESP’s skilled luthiers, renowned for their high-quality craftsmanship (on par with Custom Shop standards, though not custom-ordered).
The F-STD S differs from the regular F-STD in that it includes a Single Coil pickup in the set (H-S-H or H-S-S configuration depending on the production year), providing greater tonal versatility.
