History and Design Concept
Supro is an American amplifier and guitar brand that gained fame in the 1950s–1960s. After ceasing production for several decades, the brand was revived in 2013. Robert Keeley, founder of Keeley Electronics—a well-known guitar effects manufacturer—collaborated with Supro to design an amp optimized for use with effects pedals.
The Keeley Custom 10 was designed with a 2-band preamp and EQ circuit that works well with overdrive and distortion pedals, while retaining Supro’s signature midrange tone. Additionally, it features a transparent FX loop, allowing delay or reverb pedals to function without introducing unwanted distortion or signal degradation.
