EXS-5

This is the EXS-5 model, it’s built for players used to standard acoustic drum kits thanks to the sizes of the playing surfaces. It features a 13″ kick drum, a 13″ snare drum, two 10″ toms, a 13″ floor tom, a 14″ hi-hat, two 14″ crash cymbals and a 16″ ride cymbal.

Natural Playing Experience

A natural playing experience is vital for an electronic drum kit, you don’t want to have make major adjustments to your playing when switching from an acoustic kit. ATV have worked to make a kit that’s responsive, with a natural feel so you can feel right at home on this kit.

The cymbals can be played or choked anywhere on the circumference, with a natural swing when played. ATV have even recreated the natural flex that occurs when a cymbal is hit on the thin tapered edge. The hi-hat pedal features an optical sensor for precision and low latency.

The drum heads are a two-layer mesh design that are sensitive yet durable. Whether you’re bashing them hard or playing them softly the heads will respond to your playing thanks to their wide dynamic range that even captures ghost notes. The kick drum is similarly fast and responsive, capable of handling a double pedal.
