The Artist Elite AE2500 is the ultimate kick drum microphone, combining a cardioid condenser and a dynamic capsule in a single housing. The dynamic element captures the aggressive attack of the beater, while the condenser picks up the shell’s round tonal body. A two-layer mesh windscreen creates multiple density levels over the side-port of the dynamic element, allowing precise control of off-axis signal arrival at the diaphragm. The condenser diaphragm is tensioned and conditioned to achieve optimal consistency and long-term stability.
