Fender Takashi Kato Stratocaster

Since their debut, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra has performed in 31 countries around the world and has participated in many of the world’s largest music festivals such as Coachella. Based on the 1965 Stratocaster known as “Driftwood”, which guitarist Takashi Kato has been using for many years, this signature model was developed under his supervision in pursuit of a vintage style. The “Paradise Blue” finish is an original color that enhances metallic shades Lake Placid Blue. The thin nitrocellulose lacquer top coat looks more vintage-like. The neck has a 7.25″ radiused round-lam rosewood fingerboard with narrow tall frets.  The 1965 “C” shape faithfully reproduces the feel of a vintage grip. On the headstock stood out the transition logo and the patent pattern used from late 1964 to the middle of 1965. The pickups are a trio of Custom Wound Vintage Style Single Coils developed for this guitar. Kato, who has a deep knowledge of vintage Stratocasters, created this guitar with the hope that more guitarists will experience its charm.
