CAP Sonic Arch pickups gives deliver low-noise, high-dynamic performance

One of the more special things about the BTB7 are the pickups Ibanez grabbed. With seven strings, you’ve got a tone of tonal and dynamic range to cover, and these CAP Sonic Arch single-sized humbuckers with blade pole pieces do a marvelous job. And shaping your sound is a piece of cake too, thanks to the BTB7’s active 3-band EQ. You can also switch off that EQ altogether, if you’re looking for a pure passive sound.

Necks aren’t just part of a bass, they are the heart of the bass. The Ibanez BTB7 incorporates a 7-piece maple/bubinga/walnut neck that offers you killer stability, playability, and tone. Not satisfied to just attach the neck to the BTB7, Ibanez utilized neck-through construction, which gives you phenomenal vibrational and tonal transfer throughout the entire instrument. A solid maple body with figured walnut top completes the picture, giving you tons of extra resonance and sustain.

Tone-enhancing appointments bring out the best in each string

A slightly longer 35″ scale gives the BTB7 superior articulation and helps provide proper tension across all seven strings. Formerly found on boutique basses only, this extended scale length will provide you with a better playing experience on lower strings. The Ibanez BTB7 packs the ultra-innovative Mono-rail IV bridge with locking saddles, which allows each string to fully vibrate without any interference with the other strings. That means that no matter how fast you play across the strings, each note will ring clear and true.
