Solid spruce top only gets better over time
In keeping with tradition, the Hummingbird Studio’s back and sides are made from mahogany that imparts a warm and resonant tone. A solid spruce top ensures impressive projection and adds nuanced overtones. If you’ve never played a guitar with a solid top before, you’ll immediately notice the difference. A solid top is more responsive and has more harmonic content than a laminate top. In the coming years, that solid top will gradually “break in,” enhancing the tone even further.
