Schecter PT Special

The PT Special is Schecter’s take on the classic T-type guitar. The PT Special is pretty faithful to the formula so expect that iconic T-type tone and feel, just with a few twists such as a P90 in the neck for a thicker sound and a flatter 12″ radius fingerboard.

The PT Special uses the classic T-type combination of a swamp ash body with a maple neck. The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard which has a smooth, natural feel to it and the 12″ radius makes soloing and string bends a breeze without getting in the way of fretting chords.

This guitar comes loaded with Schecter Diamond VT-1 and V-90 pickups. The VT-1 is your classic T-type single-coil, bright, powerful, and clear this thing really cuts through. Straying from the mould is the P90 in the neck which gives a warmer and fatter sound than you’d usually find on a T-type. It’s a pickup combination that really excels at rock and blues styles but is also great for other genres from country to jazz.
